I recently built a new computer, but for some reason when I put the graphics card into the computer. I get "no signal" on my monitor (ive also tried VGA, and with a tv). The on-board graphics for my motherboard work fine, and the graphics card lights up and the fans turn on. But i dont get a display (I cant even get to the BIOS).

Also, I have tried disabling the integrated graphics in my BIOS, but every time i switch it to PCIE it resets back to integrated.

My part list:

Motherboard: Asus z97 PRO
CPU: Intel Core i5 processor
CPU Cooler: Kraken x41
PSU: thermaltake smart 650W
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980 Ti

Yes, the motherboards integrated-graphics turns on and the computer works. But it only works when the graphics card is out.

Sad, but u received a defected product .. replace it.

A defective graphics card (im hoping) or a defective motherboard?

A defective graphics card (im hoping) or a defective motherboard?[/quotemsg]

1. If the motherboard is defective, then the graphic card's lights/fans won't lit up. Also the computer wont turn on.
2. Most probably ur GPU is damaged.

(You can take your GPU to your friend's house and put it in his pc, and check if it works, if it didn't then u have to replace your GPU.

[Gimme the details of GPU (where you bought from and/or link of it)
