Hi, i bought the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 today, and installed the hardware in my PC. I know for sure that i inserted it properly because i did it before. After i closed the case and started up my computer again, it stucked at the BIOS screen for 2 minutes. I couldn't do anything there because when i hit Del or F12 or something it did nothing. After the 2 minutes the screen went black and it stayed that way. I also heard 5 beeping sounds in that 2 minutesWhat can i do about this? Here are some specs about my pc:
CPU: Intel i5-3330 3.00 GHZ
RAM: 6.00 GB
Current GPU: Intel HD Graphics 2500 Integrated
Motherboard: Gigabyte B75M-D3V

Solution
It sounds like it is not posting. I would remove the GPU and see if it boots. That will tell you were the issue is. If it boots, then you know it is the 1050 and I would try reinstalling it again. Maybe even clear the CMOS, but that probably wont help. After you reinstall it and it does not boot, then I would return the 1050.

What do you mean with ''clear the CMOS''? Sorry i only know basics of computers.

When your PC wont boot, usually due to overclocking, you can manually clear the CMOS which will reset the mobo to the original default settings. On page 11 of your mobo manual you will see the location of the CMOS jumper. It is between the bottom PCIe slot and the front panel connections. It will look like 2 pins sticking up, similar to a fan header. In order to clear the CMOS use a fan connection and hook it up to the CMOS jumper just like you would to hook up a fan. Leave it plugged in for about 10 seconds. Then plug the fan back into its normal spot and turn on the PC and the bios will be set back to the original settings.

Yeah, the problem is i can't figure out how to do that properly. The website of Gigabyte says that it can be very dangerous to update the bios because it can permanently damage your system or something. Do you maybe have like a tutorial or something or a link to one? that would help me a lot. Have been trying to make this thing work like for 8 hours now...

Bless you sir! After 10 hours of sweating it finally works now. Resolution is crazy changed now, but this will probably work if i have installed the drivers. Thanks for the advice man!

In bios you will find an option for primary graphics: Onboard or pci. Choose either auto, or pci. Normally it should auto detect that you have a card plugged so there is no problem. Since you get signal when you are connected through the graphics card you are already good. You can also disable the intel graphics from device manager. Make sure you get the latest drivers from your manufacturer's official site.

Maybe they are not, but they will definitely work, do not worry. Get used to the card first, and the Nvidia interface. If you find newer versions at the future, it is recommended that you use the DDU Uninstaller software to completely wipe-out previous drivers.
