Graphics Card drivers won't install???

I just got an MSI GTX 1070, reformatted windows so its a fresh install and i'm coming up with this error over and over and I can't seem to get around it, it my card DOA or something?? It powers up and the LED'S are working. I had a Gigabyte Geforce G1 Gaming 970 prior to this and everything worked fine. I've reseated the card twice and all of the power cables are connected. I am also running a fresh install of windows 10.

Mmm...being the latest, one would expect nVidia drivers to be compatible with Win 10. So at a guess, you have mixed a 32-bit driver with a 64-bit Windows, or 64-bit driver with a 32-bit Windows. Check your Windows version via Control Panel > System.

did you try installing from the nvidia software thingy?

You say that you reformatted your HDD, but you didn't mention if the MSI card you have was the same card used in the original install. Is the MSI a new card? Also, check your device manager - see if Windows has installed drivers for your GTX 1070. Also, if the drivers you are attempting to install or signed for authenticity by Windows they sometimes will not install. I would suggest disabling Windows driver enforcement to prevent issues installing your drivers. Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove the old drivers. Good Luck!

Sorry mark55, I meant if your drivers ARE NOT signed for authenticity (beta drivers), in some instances Windows 10 will not install them.

https://gyazo.com/f76a2f66118d9caaaa5cc00b5037949e I have a 64 bit of windows downloaded and I downloaded the 64 bit version from both the Nvdia website and Nvdia Experience.

I just looked at my windows updates tab however and this is what it shows https://gyazo.com/85634ca4033be1826f8fe8b0c76a7b9d I'm hoping the windows update that is currently downloading will fix the issue however I don't think that would be the case.

Looking at this thread a lot of people are having an issue with the driver but nobody seems to mention the specific issue I am having. Would rolling back to the drivers from May work??? Or would it not support my gtx 1070?

Your original (first) post indicated a mix of 32- and 64-bit versions. So I think installing the correct -bit version driver for the matching -bit OS should solve it.

Your latest uploads say a reboot is required, so don't forget that when you are done downloading and installing. Not sure why there is an error for the nVidia driver update...there is no update available?...ie you already have the latest installed...or update site is overloaded for the moment? Try that again later.

Yeah I made sure I got the correct Nvdia driver 64 bit and I have a fresh install of 64bit Windows 10... It's a complete fresh install I'm trying to do I don't have any Nvdia drivers installed at all.

The error message from nVidia driver update could mean nVidia has pulled the latest version from their server? So rolling back may help.
One or two guys at that Reddit forum seem to have solved their problems with driver v368.22 and Windows 10 v1511 (which you are downloading).

Generally from my experience, Windows will auto-install/use its built-in generic nVidia driver in such cases. So if it works without manually installing any nVidia drivers, one problem solved.

I would then create a restore point here, before trying a manual install of a particular nVidia driver.
