Question Graphics card fans acting strangely

I have a GALAX GTX 1080 with 3 fans that jump completely randomly between ~1k to 3k RPM without any extra load on the card (not running anything) and temps below 30, all while showing fan speed % stuck at 37% even while RPM change. Any way to keep it stable at 1k idle since the random 3k sounds like a jet engine.

Maybe you should look into replacing the thermal paste and pads with something higher in quality. If the card was never disassembled to perform a deep clean, then now would be a great excuse to do so.

I'll give it a try. What would be causing it to be showing 37% all the time? never saw it move from that number. Would cleaning it fix it?
