Graphics card for S34E790C for basic tasks

Hi all,

I am looking for a basic graphics card for a Samsung S34E790C. The last post on here was from December 2015, and since then the graphics card game has moved on!

It will only be for basic tasks, such as web browsing and watching video.

You don't really need a dedicated graphics card if that's all you're doing. A CPU with decent integrated graphics will serve you well.

If you don't have a decent CPU already it would be cheaper to just buy a GPU. An RX 460 is about $80 and is about the cheapest card you can get that would be worth getting at all.

What kind of monitor, what inputs does it have? Since the PC is older, I'd wager that the monitor is older as well and probably analog. Make sure the GPU supports the monitor, or else you may need an active adapter.

HDMI and DP, compatible with any modern graphics card.

For those basic tasks an Nvidia GT 710 will do. If you anticipate 4k video being watched, I'd go with the RX 460.
