Graphics Card For Under £200

Hello,
I am currently looking at buying an Nvidia GTX 960 for my gaming PC. I want to run games such as GTA V on high/ultra settings. I was wondering if there was a better card i could get for under £200?

There absolutely is, but it depends on your psu. I you have a 650w psu or more, then get the XFX Radeon Double Dissipation r9 290 4gb Video card. If you only have a 600w PSU get a 280x. Otherwise get a 960. But the XFX r9 290 is £203

280x isn't really much better considering it's about £20 more. Where did you find the r9 290 for £203?

I've checked amazon and it's about £220, that's £50 more than the GTX 960 plus i'd need a better PSU. It all mounts up. Any other suggestions?

By the way the 280x is better than the 960 in that it has 3gb of vram rather than 2gb. That 1gb differene isn't going to impact every game you play, but those crazy demanding titles are really going to benefit from the extra VRAM, especially if you try to play at a resolution higher than 1080p.

Absolutely, the price difference is worth it, the 960, while still a decent card, only has 2gb VRAM. Getting another full gigabyte of VRAM for $10 is absolutely worth it. MSI makes high quality cards too, so yeah go for it.

The only way I would recommend the gtx 960 is if it comes with the witcher 3 free & its a game you would buy & play.

The 280x is a stronger card period (as long as you have a PSU that's good enough)

What watage PSU would you reccomend? would say 600w be enough?
