Hey guys, I actually received a question the other day I wasn't sure of. Can you transfer digital content over a Evga GTX 760 SC card via the HDMI port?

For example: Customer produces digital content, customer wants to transfer content via HDMI but doesn't have a capture card, customer hooks HDMI into GTX 760 via HDMI, will it take that data? Or is there a way to configure so it does?

I only ask, because I thought maybe you could because the port is HDMI 1.4a. But I didn't have any devices to test this with. Any input?

What exactly do you mean by digital content? Like files? HDMI won't transfer that type of data. Also, it's not held on the video card. It would be done from a storage device (HDD, SSD) via USB, SATA, etc.

hdmi is 1.4a, which is bi-directional. It will transfer data, and there are HDMI inputs out there. My question was in regards to if the gtx 760, because it uses hdmi 1.4a, will accept an input signal like some quadro cards will, or if it was one directional instead of bi-directional. I'm assuming one directional, but I wanted to see if someone else new of a work around.

My question was really more along the lines of "is the HDMI port also an Input along with being an Output" like you'll find on some newer gaming laptops/quadro cards, etc because of it's 1.4a functionality. Since most of the HDMI input's i've seen are also 1.4
