Hi guys, I'm new here and I have a question.

I have a computer, HP Envy h8-1414, This is the link to it http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03517389 and I never liked the graphics card. I found a really good graphics card that is perfect for me, but some people told me my motherboard wont run it. This is the graphics card http://www.bestbuy.com/site/xfx-radeon-r9-270x-2gb-ddr5-pci-express-3-0-graphics-card/2091002.p?id=1219068840893&skuId=2091002 My friend told my that my computer can only run PCI express 2.0 and that graphics card I want run PCI express 3.0. Is it true? Also I have upgraded my power supply from 300 wats to 600 wats so the power supply should not be a problem. Please help me. Thanks

I have the same problem! I did not remember what I have on my board (motherboard model, memory etc). So I downloaded here http://medocow.com/cpu-z/download CPU-Z. It shows me I have Gygabyte G41M-ES2L. In Graphical Interface I see PCI-Express, Max. supported x16. What does it mean? Can I use PCI express 3.0 with my motherbord? Thanks.
