Alright, I'm a noob when it comes to PCs and their hardware. I'm into Skyrim right now (planning on buying Witcher 3 aswell) and my FPS is around 30-38. When I click on pause I can get up to 123! I made some research (not a whole lot) but it seems I need a graphics card for it to run better(makes sense, I figured).
Now there are like a million graphics cards out there and I need to pick one. I have no Idea how this works so I'm just gonna give out as much info as possible. - Asus motherboard(P8H61-M)
- PCIe 2.0 x16
- 16gb RAM
- 350W psu(planning on buying an evga 500W)
- intel core i5-3450 3.10GHz
- 64-bit op system, x64 based processor
My screen is a Samsung syncmaster-1920/1080p. My goal is to be able to play Skyrim (and maybe Witcher 3) at medium/high res. If you guys could point me in the right derection, that'd be great!! By the way, I don't know why, but I'm more inclined towards NVIDIA then AMD (I know a little over nothing of PCs so don't mind my opinion, I don't know why but I got hooked on NVIDIA rather than AMD, maybe it's the green ;p). But if AMD would be better and more affordable I really wouldn't mind. Oh and if it could be max 200$ that'd be wonderful too.
*I've been looking at a EVGA Geforce GTX 660 ti, is that good?*
