Hi Guys,

I recently bought this graphics card MSI AMD Radeon R5 230 1GD3H LP and this monitor Lenovo L24Q-10. This monitor supports resolution of 2560x1440, has got HDMI 1.4 and DP1.2 type connectors. And after setting it all up, on Windows 7 Ultimate (x64), my max recommended resolution is 1920x1200. It looks blurry and a little bit stretched. I tried setting up custom resolution, however, I don't have this option. Motherboard that I have installed is older and it's Gigabyte 880GM-D2H. Before buying this cheap graphics card, I checked specs on MSI's website and it said that this graphics card supports max resolution of 3840x2160 @30 Hz-30bpp/4096x2160 @24 Hz-24bpp on a HDMI type 1.4a. It also supports this resolution 2560 x 1600 @60 Hz on DVI connector.

Can somebody advise what would be the problem? Does it matter that HDMI on monitor is 1.4 and HDMI connector on graphics card is 1.4a type? Can this be of any issue?

Thanks a lot for your answer! But I'm afraid that only my monitor has got regular Display Port while my graphics card doesn't (only HDMI, VGA and DVI). Will it make any difference if I choose DP to HDMI cable?
