So i just put together my PC yesterday but right from the start ive had no luck what so ever getting the gpu to be detected.

Im wondering if its a faulty gpu, not enough power or i havent set it up right.

When i try to install the nvidia drivers it tells me there is no compatible hardware.
also every 5 seconds each fan on the card takes a turn to spin for about a second then stops.

I have tried disabling the onboard gpu and all that and still nothing.

In device manager it doesnt come up at all.

Can you give us your full system specs? What graphics card etc?

1) Remove the card
2) Put it back in, make sure its fully home in the PCI-E slot
3) connect the PCI-E power cables:
Can look a little different depending on the card:

4) Plug the monitor into the back of the graphics card (NOT THE MOTHERBOARD, thats for integrated graphics).

Boot up
