Question Graphics card not detected in PCIe x16 slot ?

i recently bought an RX 6600 but when I put it in the PCIe x16 slot it's not detected at all. But when I put it in the PCIe x4/x16 slot it works just fine. Could it be my RX 6600 that's the problem or my motherboard ? Because I previously had an RX 580 which worked fine in the PCIe x16 slot ?

You didn't say which MB, CPU. RAM, PSU..

In your motherboard bios, see that csm is not set.
Some Rx580 cards needed a legacy bios connection.

Have you tried another PCIe x16 slot to make sure the problem is not with the GPU ?

It's possible that there may be an issue with either your RX 6600 or your motherboard. Have you tried updating the drivers for your graphics card? That might help resolve the issue. On a side note, have you heard about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition graphics card? If you're in the market for a new graphics card, you might want to check out some nvidia geforce rtx 3090 founders edition review online to see if it's a good fit for your needs. It's interesting that your previous RX 580 worked fine in the PCIe x16 slot. It could be that the RX 6600 has different requirements or compatibility issues with your motherboard.
