Graphics card not showing in devices

I just got a Radeon R9 270X GPU and I can not get it to work for my computer. When I give it power ( I just got a 750w EVGA PSU to power it), It seems to turn on as the fans are running on it, but then I can no longer get a picture to my monitor, either by the graphics card or by the standard plugin on my computer. What could be the issue here?

first make sure your using the right graphics card for your pc. Well you need to install the drivers for your graphics card before using it. ( http://support.amd.com/en-us/download ) there is the download after u install that you must also reset your pc and plug in the graphics card it should work after that set it up with your favorite settings and voila it should work .
