Graphics card not showing up

I just build my pc and I have a r9 380 4gb g1 gaming. I just checked my dxdiag and it said Intel HD graphics 4600 what happend? the windforce llights are on

1. Is the video cable connected to the graphics card and not the motherboard?
2. If the video cable IS connected to the graphics card, then you need to disable on-board graphics in the bios.

My moniter plug doesn't fit in the Gpu plug

What cable are you using to connect ? HDMI,DVI or VGA?

Vga to my motherboard and i don't think my r9 380 g1 4gb came with a dvi to vga connection

It needs to be plugged into the graphics card in order to use it.

Then plug one end to GPU and other end into Monitor. Then make sure to switch your input at Monitor to HDMI.
