Hello, I've been using a GTX 770 for a long time now. I went to a friend's house, brought my desktop, ensured it was safe during transportation, and plugged it in. It turned on, but, to my surprise, the peripherals and monitor did not light up. (Basically, computer turned into a potato) So I figured it was the gpu, and I unplugged the 770 and placed in a 750ti. The 750ti worked perfectly. Booted up normally, recognized it and everything. The computer was as good as new. I tried cleaning the 770, the PCIE slot, and removing the ram to ensure nothing was lose or anything. I also checked all motherboard cables and such to make sure nothing wiggled free in transit. Everything was good. I was surprised. After hours of head scratching, reading other people's problems with similar symptoms, I decided to go out and pick myself up another card. I got a R9 390, and placed it in. Power was all in, everything. The computer started like normal, screen showing and peripherals, and I thought "Hey, the 770 must have been the problem!" Unfortunately, after I installed the AMD drivers and removed the Nvidia ones and restarted, it went back in to potato mode. The GPU's fans were spinning, so it was getting power, but whenever I turned off the system and unplugged the gpu while it still being in the PCI-E slot, it worked off of my integrated graphics. To me this appears to be a bit of a PSU issue (specs will be at the bottom), because when I plug it in it seems to really drain power from other things.
