Hoping someone can help me with Graphics Card upgrades.

My current system is as follows:

Acer MS 7869 motherboard ( onboard Intel 4400 ) PCIe 2.0 x 16
i3 4150 CPU
8gb 1333 DDR3

Going to buy a new case with a 500w PSU as I'm in a SFF that has no room for a GPU but I am not sure what graphics card will suite what I have.

I have been looking at GT710 & GT1030 although there are different versions of these so confused. I have also seen second hand some GTX1050 TI for similar costs.

Also not sure if I can use PCIe 3.0 x 16.

My screen currently is only a 32" 720P 1024x768 @ 60Hz but Xmas plan on upgrading to a 32" 1080P 1920x1080 60Hz

The PC is only for my Daughter who is 9 and wants to run Minecraft, currently runs Roblox with no issues. Won't be pushed with the latest games as is more for general use, Youtube, Google & Social Media.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks

About the fastest I would go with that CPU would be a GTX 1050 Ti or a GTX 1060 and of those two I would suggest the 1050 Ti as you don't need an extra power plug.

It will work in your PCIe 2.0 x 16 motherboard.

I think the 1050 Ti should run anything at 1024x768 and it will run a lot at 1080p.....and I think it will run at 1080p pretty well.

Item 1: The case. SFF PCs oft use a proprietary layout. Your motherboard may not work in an aftermarket case. At least not without drilling custom mount holes in the case.

GPU: Any of them should work. The 1050 Ti is the best GPU option performance wise of those listed. No one will complain about the GPU being too good. It also can be used for hardware accelerated encoding. If she wants to try her hand at video editing. It can accelerate some of those tasks. If you want new. The GT 1030 is far more advanced than the GT 710. The 710 is garbage and worse than some integrated graphics.

TV: I suppose it varies by store. You can get a 40" 4K TV for just a tad more than a 32" 1080p TV. There will likely be Black Friday deals on these. Just something to think about. Whatever TV you get. Be sure to set it on PC mode or turn off all the video enhancements (motion, noise, &c filters). They look horrible on a computer desktop. Frankly I turn them off on all inputs to disable the soap opera effect and see movies as the film makers intended. At least as close as a cheap TV can approximate a $30,000 studio monitor.

How do I know, the motherboard is an Acer MS 7869 in a Packard Bell Imedia S2870 case. I've been googleing endlessly and finding nothing.
