Graphics card or Ram upgrade?

Hey everyone,

I'm new to building a PC and so far I'm pretty happy with my set up right now.

Some of my games and even my pc on demanding things slows down or drops FPS sometimes. Should I upgrade my RAM or is it the Graphics Card?

I have 8gb stock dell ram if I upgrade to 8gb of DDR4 should I see a better improvement?

i5 3.10ghz
GTX 950 Ti 4GB ddr5
8GB stock dell RAM ddr3

DDR 4 will not fit in a motherboard that uses DDR3. So look for DDR3. Having said that, your gfx card is your weakest link right now. The gtx 1060 would be a good match for the i5 CPU.

Your only option would be to either add more RAM, which won't really help in games, or to upgrade the graphics card. I'd upgrade the graphics card to something like a GTX 1060. Below a 1060, you might not get a very noticeable improvement.
