hi
basically it has been doing it since i installed my gtx 660
i got an intel core i7 4970k
when i play arma 3 sometimes for a bit it my game just freeze and my entire pc.. and it just stops working! i then need to restart
ive tried uninstalling and installing drivers
i thought it was fixed
but i think it might actually be my gpu overheating
EVEN tho it gets to only about 70-80 degrees on arma 3

is it safe if I INCREASE MY fan speed to 60 % as i tried it before and it made my temps lower

and then ill see if thats teh cause of my pc freezing, i literally have to restart it by pressing button
ive done ram checks, hdd checks etc and i think 0 bad things found

anyone know why this might be happening?

I can answer the fan speed question. YES! I have a custom setup on use on all my GFX cards which basically says 30% speed at 30C and increase at a constant rate as temp rises with 100% speed at 65C. Cool cards work better than hot cards and fans are cheaper to replace than GFX cards.

Let the fan speeds be controlled by the software automatically. You can make the fan to rotate at its full. No issue at all. Use MSIAfterBurner to monitor and control the fan speed. Alternately you can make profiles for certain speed settings based on temps but the best practice is to let the software handle the fan speed.

80C is not a problem here. This card can go upto 90C as well. Make sure Fan speed is getting adjusted to compensate for high temps.

oh ok thanks and hmm. yh but i mean
SINCE I put in my GTX 660
ive been getting this problem when playing arma 3! idk about other games
but i know it happened on gmod
