So I just got a card from someone (the card looks untouched) but when I put it in my pc it didn't post anything but when I restart the pc it will post but it will sometimes shut off or it will take me to the windows blue repair screen and if I stay there it won't turn off. It's a gtx 970 and I've been using one in my pc so it has the drivers already.

I recommend removing your old drivers with DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
(Run DDU and driver install with the GPU NOT inside of the PC) After you remove the drivers, install new ones for the GTX 970 (https://www.geforce.com/drivers) and then boot your PC off. I would then connect your GPU and make sure only one monitor is plugged into your GPU. Re-seat your ram on your motherboard and then turn your PC on. If that doesn't work, you can also try removing your CMOS battery for a few minutes, and then booting again. Hopefully that will fix your hardware change.
