Greetings all!

I would like to solicit alternatives to the video card in my current experimental rack-mount computer.

This computer was the subject of my only other thread here: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/can-someone-help-me-determine-what-drives-i-need.3854576/

Some of the specs of this computer:
  • RACK MOUNTED WORKSTATION SERVER CORE I7-3960K 24GB RAM ASUS MB P6T7WS GTX 780
  • INTEL CORE I7-3960X 3.38GHZ PROCESSOR WITH LGA2011 AND HEATSINK W/FAN
  • 06G-P4-3791-KR GeForce GTX Titan Black 6GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 2 DVI/ 1 HDMI/ 1 DisplayPort Video Graphics
  • ASUS MOTHERBOARD, P6T7WS SUPERCOMPUTER
I've tried connecting a monitor to the video card using an HDMI adapter for startup, but the screen is quite black.
I suspect a BIOS problem, but I can't fix that until I get some idea of what is happening during startup.

Any suggestions for a compatible video card, maybe something a bit newer?

Thanks,

Hmmm....

GTX Titan Black is Kepler architecture (GeForce GTX 700-series).
Equal to performance of it and newer, would be GTX 1060 6GB, which is Pascal architecture (GeForce GTX 10-series).
More modern and still equal version, would be GTX 1650 Super, which is Turing architecture (GeForce GTX 16-series).
While latest option and far beefier, would be RTX 4060, which is Ada Lovelace architecture (GeForce RTX 40-series).

GTX Titan Black vs RTX 4060 comparison: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-Titan-Black-vs-Nvidia-RTX-4060/3158vs4150

RTX 4060 starts at 300 bucks,

Note: RTX 4060 needs PCI-E 4.0 and operates at x8. So, you may have a bit of performance loss, since GTX Titan Black was PCI-E 3.0 x16 GPU. But the loss is negligible, 1-3% or so, depending on resolution.
