Graphics card selection.

I'm building a new PC and I'm trying to pick out a GPU. I've been leaning towards a 1070 and I know that it will be more than sufficient, but I'm just wondering if a 1080 or 1080ti would last long enough to make it worth the extra $$$. I plan on gaming at 1080p 144hz, no vr or any of that. Any and all feedback appreciated .

At 1080p 144hz the 1070 will be fine but the 1080 and 1080 ti will be able to keep the high framerates for longer without needing to turn down that many settings.
