Hey guys so just bought a new monitor and seems like its slowing down my FPS in wow game-play, was hoping to get some suggestions on which Video Card would help support the new monitor and hopefully within a $150 range. (Also I'm a novice when it comes to computer hardware so hopefully something thats easy to install.

Don't bump posts, its against forum rules.

And the fastest thing you would be able to get with that budget is a 7770 or a 6850, with the 7770 being more in range.

Its not that big of a jump though if you have a 5770, but if you have a 5750 it would. Do you know if its a 5770 or 5750?

Sorry Still new to this website and have seen some do it. Thanks for the heads up. And no i actually don't know which it is in the 5700 series, how would i go about finding that out short from taking my computer apart?

Here's a couple of things for you to do:

1) Download GPU-Z: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
This will tell me the amount of shaders on the GPU. And if you could post a picture of it on this site, that would be fantastic
(To post a picture, go to add reply and then click insert image, and then type in the URL of the screenshot)

2) Open the side of your computer, you can also see the video card from this point. BeastLeeX is asking for the wattage of the PSU, but Newegg told me that it was a 300W, which is not enough for the 7770.

Hopefully this is what your asking for

That's exactly what I was looking for. You have 800 stream processors, which means you have a 5770.

Chances are if you have a 5770, you can run a 7770, but it won't be too much of an improvement. Its a great card, but you'll probably see less than a 10fps increase.

Thanks so guess it's not my Graphics card them. I play wow and since the new patch and since i got a new monitor i've been having fps troubles so wasn't sure if it was me or the game itself. Would changing from a VGA monitor to a DVI monitor make a big difference in terms of lag?
