Graphics card won't display

Hi I just installed my GeForce gtx 1050 2gb and it won't display on my monitor

Specs:
Vs450w power supply
320 gb memory
X2 4gb ram
Amd 4760 processor
ASRock Micro ATX DDR3 2400 FM2 Motherboard FM2A58M-VG3+ R2.0
(VGA monitor and yes I have a hdmi to vga adapter)

First thing to do, test the card on a monitor without any adapters to make sure it's an issue with the adapter. Did you do a BIOS update if there is one available before installing the card?
