This concerns my 5 year old MSI Radeon HD 7850. So I've noticed a couple months ago how my card got a lot louder than usual. It seemed to randomly spin up to full speed and then stop when I played games. This is on my old 8 year old PC, of which I thought was causing some bios or driver setting to cause this problem.
A week ago I built my brand new PC. I upgraded everything but the graphics card (because bitcoin fuckers inflated the prices). After a while running on my 8600k's integrated graphics (which aren't that bad?!) I decided to plop in my old graphics card to squeeze any more performance out of it before I get a new one. The issue hadn't resolved itself.
The card only starts to turn on the fans when the GPU's temp reaches 90'C; only to immediately turn them off when it reaches 80'C. What do you guys think I should do?
