Graphics cracked in Laptop

My laptop's graphics card got broken(as the mechanics said)....my friend advised me that if I had a extra motherboard then I can take the graphics chip out of it and install it in my laptop.....I have an extra motherboard but it is not working...so can I use the graphics chip from the motherboard and install it in my laptop??
PS - my other motherboard is for desktop

Yeah no.... can't do that. Just find a dell optiplex and throw a gpu in it. Classic budget gaming.
