Hello,why does my computer display a line across the screen

Could be a failing monitor or failing Graphics board.
Connections nice & tight ?

To determine whether it's the card or the monitor, change the display resolution. If the line is displayed at the same place, it's monitor-related. If it moves, it's the card.

Also try changing the cable as it may be damaged.
