Graphics Driver Crashes

A couple of weeks ago I removed all drivers from my GPU (2GB GTX 770) and then installed the newest drivers. Up until just recently I haven't had any issues, but now It is crashing again, which causes my games to crash to desktop afterwards.

My screen freezes for 1-2 seconds, crashes to a black screen, and then goes to either a desktop or a white screen (game not responding). Then it says my display drivers have stopped responding and recovered in the bottom right windows tray.

I was thinking about just getting a 4GB 970, is this problem only from my GPU or will replacing it not help?

Basically having new driver does not guarantee 100% stability, it is still prone to some failure. Perhaps card build up enough heat which caused the crash shortly after.

I doubt its GPU fault, perhaps you overclock it?

Everything I have is factory clocked, the model I have is considered "Super clocked" or something but it is only like 5% over regular 770's. My temperatures never go above 60 C, or even 55 C, so I don't think it's overheating.
