im an absolute noob when it comes to graphics cards,

im now typing on the computer in question while listening to a music VIDEO on youtube and loading a video on 4od, so im gussing i DO have a graphics chip even if it is built into the motherboard, i defenitely dont have a discrete one, but everytime i try to play any sort of game (ive tried lego racers1&2 and age of mythology) the game just ends up shutting down or maybe playing for a little while before it shuts down. and i just ont understand why. i want to play games like total war medieval 2, which i should be able to play if it werent for this problem

my specs are (from belarc advisor)

processor: 3.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
16 kilobyte primary memory cache
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache
64-bit ready
Hyper-threaded (2 total)

Mobo: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 8I945GMF
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. F8 08/31/2006

memory : 1GB

and im running windows xp

your onboard graphic is a intel gma 950 so you could add a pci-e graphic card on the motherboard for games.try can you run it to see witch games the onboard graphics could play link http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/

i dont have a spare card to hand, other than a 9600gt old nvidia card, but that wont fit in the case. and to be honest im not going to spend any money on this system, it cost me 60 quid and id rather just spend money on a new build :) if theres anyway to sort this out through driver updates or software adjustments id be ok with that
