I am wanting to upgrade my graphics card to use in my old pc while in the interim before shortly upgrading to a new build. Will the GeForce GTX 980 Ti fit and be compatible with my Dell XPS 8300 with a 750 Watt PSU? Thanks!

Ignissus,

I'd rather get a GTX 1070, from this website, it seems like the 1070 is doing a bit better. They also go for around the same price.
Also, if possible, try to get an 80+ bronze power supply and a new computer case with better airflow. Cause things can get quite toasty in a case like the Dell XPS 8300.

Yes, but that case is disgusting and I would highly recommend u get a new case with a new motherboard for like 120$ total for both. by 750watt psu i hope it has 80+ bronze in the name, because very psu that doesn't at least have that is garbage and you shouldn't get it.

Additional note. I already have the 750 watt PSU installed. I got that PSU for my AMD HD Radeon 7870 which has been a great GPU. I just really need to know if the GTX 980 Ti would be compatible. Also. I have 8 GB RAM and a Core i7 2310 processor and 1 TB hard drive. Could I put a solid state hard drive into the PC? If so, where would. I put it? I noticed that I have a PCI express 1 slot as well as a SATA 1 and SATA 2. I am unsure of what these three components can be used for to upgrade for gaming for the next year at high settings while running the GTX 980 Ti if that would work. Thanks in advance for all your insight and advice. :)

it isn't hard to tell what psu you have, just open your case the name might even be on the side your case opens so you don't have to take it out to see. Other than that, you can check the order history from whatever site you bought it from.
