Gray Smudge Underneath Screen?

There appears to be a dark gray-ish smudge under my screen. It shows up primarily on other gray and blue-ish colors, as well as some brigher skin tones, but is visible constantly if looking hard enough. It is located a little below the center of the screen and to both sides of it. No amount of wiping the screen has removed it, so I can only assume its on the inside of the monitor. It's a bit distracting due to its proximity to the center of the screen, and I would like some assistance weighing my options on what to do, or at least narrowing down what the issue is so I can deal with it. The monitor is well within warranty, so if its something that requires sending it back I'd like to handle it before that expires.

Here is a picture of the issue. The smudge is horizontal and is near the dead center of the gray box. It doesn't look so bad when stationary, but it is far more irritating in motion when gaming or watching a full screen video.

It would have helped if you had drawn circles around the affected areas. At a glance, I see nothing obviously wrong in that picture - at least nothing that could not be explained by a reflection.

But if you can see it, and it is irritating....RMA.
There is no 'fix'.

Circled the spot in the image. It's very difficult to see even then, its hard to get a picture of it because its typically visible in motion. It's way more noticeable in person than it is in photo form.
