Greetings everyone! I am currently building a new PC and decided to go with an intel i7-6700K for the CPU but now I just need to find the right motherboard. My build will eventually have SLI 980 Ti's as well as a Samsung 950 Pro M.2 512 GB SSD so the board must be compatible with these two features. I want to know what is the best performing Z170 board/boards available. My budget is open but no matter what the price is it has to be worth it in performance. Thanks for any recommendations or help! :)

The Hero is a great one, have all three....you can generally expect some issues with new socket mobos and CPUs, here we also had new DRAM (DDR4) and for many a new OS (Win10), I held off till they got a couple BIOS updates on the Hero, but runs great and I've been throwing a lot at it, different DRAM, GPUs, coolers, etc. Highly recommended 😉

Thanks for the recommendation! I actually had the previous model, Maximus VII Hero, and didn't have any problems with it. The only problem is that quite a few reviews mention problems with audio such as popping and stuttering. I do like ASUS boards and just noticed the Z170-A/Pro/Deluxe boards. They seem to support SLI and M.2 SSD. Are they any good?
