I bought a 3060 a couple of months back mainly to play rust at higher fps, but I still consistently underperform. Does anyone know why this is happening? I feel like I have tried every little trick whether that's drivers or in-game settings. If anyone could help me out that would be great.

I get roughly 60-70 fps in unpopulated and outskirt portions of the map, and around 40-60 in the normal areas.

Ok thanks guys, I've already seen a massive increase in Rust FPS performance jumped to 80-100 fps in extremely populated areas of the map. If anyone has another fix or important setting change then let me know!

I'd say you're about there at 1440p.

That 2133 ram speed is what was crippling your physics performance in game.

Rust has dlss support now I think?
Try using it, you'll lose a bit of image quality maybe but will get fps comparative to 1080p rather than 1440p.

Yep it does and I'll give it a try I'm noticing significant improvements ingame. Does anyone know any specific tips for Destiny 2? That's my next most played game and I stable roughly 90 FPS. I've used google to get a few graphic and NVIDIA 3D settings optimizations but if anyone knows anything else let me know!

Any time I'm trying to squeeze more performance I look to turn down settings like shadows just a bit and AA. Playing at 1440 AA is not as crucial.

Also don't listen to people saying that card isn't powerful enough. My 2060 can handle damn near anything at 1440 with the mixture of correct settings in game. Your card is way better than mine.
