Hi,

I was hoping for some help on this odd issue I am having.

I have searched around and i see very little related to this problem online. I just built my first pc. Everything seemed to go well. The only issue is, once i updated my amd gpu, the initial boot screen is tinited green (just shows the motherboard 'MAG' picture) and, if i enter bios, the entire thing is also tinted in green, as oppose to the steel black.

This is happening on my 4k tv, which i use as my monitor. I tried it on my 1080 monitor screen and everything seemed to be normal. So is that just an issue with something to do with the tv and gpu? Once it boots to windows, everything is fine. I've played games on it, and my resolution is set to 4k...everything appears fine.

I've done all the updates i could think of. Outside of windows updates, i updated the bios, the chipset, couple other smaller drivers and then the gpu from amd. I have tried uninstalling the drivers on amd and reinstalling, and its fine without them. Though once i update them, its back to the initial tinted green opening (and if i go into bios, its tinted green aswell.)

Its not a crazy big deal, I'm just worried I have made a mistake or havent updated something right. I have never done this before, so I'm nervous I screwed things up.

Specs:
Windows 10
B660 bazooka msi motherboard
I5 12400f
Msi mech2 oc 6600 xt
16gb 3200mhz ram
1tb mk.2 ssd

Sounds to me like a connection problem. First off, how do you connect your PC to your TV? If using a wired connection, it is possible that the cable connecting them is faulty, or not plugged in properly. Your GPU might be another thing. Check to make sure it is seated properly. And, check any settings, in case you accidently turned something so that your BIOS now has a default green tint.

Also, check the color settings on your TV, and if it supports it, turn on game optimization.
Its so strange. I didnt change anything in the bios outside of update and recently i turned xmp on. I just tried it on a different 4k tcl and its completely fine. So thats both my 1080 monitor and other tcl 4k that is fine, but my 65 tcl series 6 does the green tint on the start up and bios.

This fixed it. It was the cord. Which is odd becuase i tried a different cord. It was the first thing i did.

Thank you so much for the reply!
