Hello,
So to start will describe my plan before this confusing situation appeared, i had 2x4gb ram F4-2800C15D-8GVRB that i bought at May 2018 to build my gf system, i mount it in a Msi B350m Bazooka Motherboard with a Ryzen 3 2200g APU and a GTX 1060. This week bought exact same kit of rams the F4-2800C15D-8GVRB and tough would be easy to set (i know 4 sticks in ryzen drop oc performance.. was a risk we were prepared to take), anyway i put the new Rams in the the secondary dual channel slots and no post after that.. i took the rams out to test if something was wrongly mounted, but not the issue.. So now i will describe everything i tried and if it worked or not, hoping someone can solve this damm dilema..
Main System:
MSI B350M BAZOOKA LAST BIOS
RYZEN 3 2200G
Ripjaws V F4-2800C15D-8GVRB from May 2018 2x4gb
Ripjaws V F4-2800C15D-8GVRB from April 2019 2x4gb
1. All slots populated in any order (believe me, tried every possible order) - NO POST
2. Only the F4-2800C15D-8GVRB from April 2019 2x4gb in main dual channel slots - POST
3. Only 1 stick in Dimm A1/A2/B1/B2 - POST IN ONLY A2 AND B2 (Main channels) the old F4-2800C15D-8GVRB from May 2018 2x4gb post in any slot
4. One stick of each kit in Dual channel or Single channel configurations - POST ONLY IF THEY ARE IN A2 AND B2 if any stick populates A1 and B1 the system won't post
5. Three slots occupied - NO POST no matter the order
Time to get other Motherboards
AB350m Asrock with RYZEN 3 2200G LAST BIOS
Asus Prime X470 PRO with RYZEN 5 1600 LAST BIOS
6. I picked a AB350m Asrock Motherboard with only 2 Dimm Slots A1/B1 - NO POST even if i only run as single ram there is NO POST, with the old rams from May 2018 POST every try..
You Probably think faulty RAMS by some reason.. (Probably yes.. but wait for it..)
7. Time for a more recent Motherboard Asus Prime X470 PRO - POST EVERY DAMM TRY all slots populated, single slot.. dual any try..
Time to get other ram Kits and go back to MSI B350M BAZOOKA
Ripjaws V F4-2133C15D-8GVR from August 2018 2x4gb
Trident Z RGB F4-3000C16D-16GTZR from January 2018 2x8gb
Trident Z RGB F4-3000C16D-16GTZR from December 2018 2x8gb
8.The Ripjaws V F4-2133C15D-8GVR and Ripjaws V F4-2800C15D-8GVRB from May 2018 placed in any order in the 4 slots - POST
9.The Trident Z kits in the 4 slots or mixed correctly with the Ripjaws V F4-2800C15D-8GVRB from May 2018 - POST
10.The kit Ripjaws V F4-2800C15D-8GVRB from April 2019 if mixed with any ram that occupies a 3rd ram slot or 4th - NO POST
Conclusion the Ripjaws V F4-2800C15D-8GVRB from April 2019 in the Asus Prime X470 PRO the rams work always any configuration with any other kit, in AB350m Asrock rams won't work at all, in main board of the system MSI B350M BAZOOKA only work if populating A2 and B2 ONLY BOTH OR JUST ONE..
And to end my large and complex question.. The problem is the CPU RYZEN 3 2200G? the B350 chipset? or the Rams itself..?
