Hello everyone , I have been searching the right information about the working Gskill Ripjaws 8gb DDR4 3000mhz rams have same model , same mhz , same gb but different CL timings together. But I cannot find certain comments about this issue.
I have Gskill Ripjaws 8gb DDR4 3000mhz CL15-16-16-35
And today, I mistakenly bought (still shipping) Gskill Ripjaws 8gb DDR4 3000mhz CL16-18-18-38 .Does my CL15 ram work fine with the CL16 one? What happens when I use DOCP option in BIOS to make my rams work at 3000mhz? Can the CL15 one has same timings that the CL16 have when I active the DOCP for both of my rams? I need a brief and clear answer to get enlightened , thank you for your help and answers

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. Other combinations you decide to create have no guarantee to be compatible together.

Such combinations put extra stress on the memory controller. As a result they may no longer be able to operate at rated specifications.

Workarounds to get extra memory to work together include:
Lower memory clock speed
Relax DRAM timings
Increase DRAM voltage

As with memory that has never been tested together before, your free to do your own compatibility testing with no guarantees.

Thank you for your answer. I am really excited about it. I am having military service for 5 months. I will come back at the finish of August and I will try to figure out the sticks of ram ( Gskill RipjawsV 3000mhz ddr4 8gb CL15 and CL16) and I actually wonder about timings of the rams when I activate the D.O.C.P. mode at 2933mhz.

Update : I saw the comment on foreign hardware forum about CL15 and CL16 Gskill RipjawsV DDR4 3000MHZ 8GB sticks that points the problem out as "the user's pc crashes and gives blue screen after he set both CL15 and CL16 sticks up together at 3000mhz on B350 chipset.

Last Update : I affixed my new stick of RAM that has CL16-18-18-38 latency values on my mobo. I increased the mhz 2133 to 3000 without choosing D.O.C.P. option ( I set the values manually ). The ram that I already have has CL15-16-16-35 and does not work with its CL16-18-18-38 friend. I set CL15-16-16-35 one's values same with the CL16-18-18-38 one and both sticks of rams works properly on dual channel without any kind of error or bluescreen.

Thank you all !
