I currently have 2 Asus VG248Qe 144 hz monitors. My system specs are,

Asus Rampoage Extreme Mainboard

Intel Core i7 5930 4.4 GHZ overclocked and liquyid cooled

2 Nvidia 980 SLi overclocked and liquid cooled

32 gigs of corsair donimator 2800 mhz ram

1200 wat power supply

My question is I really am not noticing any real difference between the VG248Qe monitors at 144hz and the new Asus ROG Swift PG 278Q 144hz monitos with Gsync. I paid allot for this new 27 inch monitor and I am now wondering if it is even worth it or if my original Asus 144 hz 24 inch monitors are just as good.

Thanks

I have been playing GTAV, Arma, CS Go and so on on both monitors to test them and honestly I do not see any difference which is why I asked if it is actually worth it to buy a Gsync monitor right now given my current system and the high price.

My apologies, I was under the impression that you already had the monitor. If you do not have the monitor, I would hold off on it. G-sync really only helps if your fps changes drasically, i.e. 40-80 fps or similar. Also, new IPS monitors are getting faster refresh rates and response times, and look better than TN panels. I would look at those before the ROG SWIFT personally.

While the contrast ratio is the same between the SWIFT and a IPS panel, the display is way different, colors appearing washed out as an example. Here is a link to a comparison between the ROG SWIFT and a similar priced and stat IPS. I also through in my monitor just cause. :)

Note the display colors for the Acer should be the number display by the Benq, it is mislabeled.
