My motherboard isn't detecting a VGA signal and a boot device signal, I am frustrated as the card is in the computer properly but it just isn't being detected.

Solution
If it doesn't boot with that cpu installed and you are sure everything is plugged in correctly, then it does appear it needs a bios update. The 4xx chipset works with the ryzen 2xxx cpus "out of the box." It will work with the ryzen 3xxx, but only with the newest bios. Updating to that level will remove support for the ryzen 2xxx and below. It will never work with those cpus again.

I figured out that it is not detecting it by the EZ Debug LED on the Motherboard, the CPU and the RAM are lighting up, but the VGA is lighting up dull yellow, and the boot is not lighting up at all.

For some reason the motherboard is not detecting the graphics card, I can tell by the EZ debug light which lights up as detecting the CPU and the RAM, but not the VGA and the boot device. I think that at this rate I may just need a new graphics card, but I am not sure, I would like to make sure that this is the case, and that the graphics card would work, as I am on a strict budget. I don't have any spare parts lying around the house either.

Be careful upgrading the bios. Depending on which you choose you could lose all support for any Ryzen 1xxx or 2xxx chips. If the debug light is good is try the igp first. Not saying it's not the bios, but you should be warned what can happen BEFORE you do it.

Putting the mod hat on for a second, stop opening new threads. You need one thread per issue. You are getting help, relax with the new threads ok?

How do I update the bios?
