I have an MSI H77MA-G43 that will NOT support the newer GT 1030 OC Phoenix edition. The older ATI HD 5830 runs very well in it though. When I boot up, the resolution is all messed, making the BIOS all jumbled up. I can start windows, but the resolution is so low, that I have just a few of the dozens of icons I have on the desktop showing.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

[quotemsg=21347301,0,357956]Did you check for a newer BIOS for the motherboard? Did you uninstall the AMD drivers before installing the nVidia card and then run the nVidia drivers once the 1030 was in? Are you using any sort of adapters for the video cable?[/quotemsg]

The BIOS was updated to the latest version, but is still 5 years old. This problem happens even before going to Windows, both 10 and 7. I can't view the UEFI-BIOS with any kind of resolution that lets me see the whole page. No adapters for the cable, but I DID use an HDMI cable to finally get it to work, but I'd really like to know why it didn't work using the DVI-D cable that works fine for any other GPU. Thank you for your response.
