GT 430 vs Intel Graphics 4000

Alright, so I will be getting an i5 3570k, with Intel Graphics 4000. My question is will a GT 430 outperform onboard graphics? I already have one, and will be upgrading in December to a GT 640. I play games such as Sims 3 and SimCity, which don't demand much. I want to play it on maxed out settings with no lag and all EPs. Will either be able to handle this, even with the upcoming Seasons EP? I can play it maxed out with a GT 430 on my current machine with an Intel Core 2 Duo e4400 with lag.

7770 was my first choice, but I like nvidia a lot and that was the best card that is PCIe 3.0 for nvidia in my price range.

I have the i5 3570k with intel HD4000 and I can tell you right now that it will not play sims 3 with all expansion packs maxed out...matter a fact ill be right back i will go into sims 3 and see what my settings are that allows me to get 30-35fps

I have a much worse system than you yet I get about 30-35 FPS.

GT 430 will. HD 4000 will not. GT 430 is much more powerful than HD 4000. It's three tiers higher:

Alright then I'll use the 430 and get a 560 in December.

I could get a 7770 now, but I'd have to use a Phenom II x6 1045t. I could OC it I guess.

430 is better. If you upgrade get a 7770
