I have a GT 640 2GB
8GB RAM DDR3 1600MHZ
i5 3470 QUAD CORE 3.2GHZ

How would i run Battlefield 3 on high settings or medium settings?

On high settings - badly.
On medium it might be playable.

Medium settings at 720p/900p should be the highest to push this tiny card to.

Anything with DDR3 on a GPU should not be considered a gaming card period. They are entry level, bottom of the barrel type cards. Sorry, they are.

Sell the gt 640 and buy a 7750.Its much better.
