Hi, my current pc build is:

CPU: AMD PHENOM II x4 955 3.2GHz
RAM: 4GB Kingston Value RAM
PSU: Cooler Master 460W
MOBO: M5A 78L-M LX V2
GPU: GT730 2GB

I have just bought the GT730, and was wondering if it is sufficient to play CSGO and COD4. I have tried it and it seems that my COD4 dropped 100fps. And my CSGO seems to have only 60+ FPS. I would like both of it to be 250fps if possible, is the GPU too noob for the games? Or is there something that I am missing out?

Thanks. 😀

The GT 730 is actually a great card for the price, but it's cheap. If you want something beefy enough to handle those games with high frame rates, take a look at the GTX 750 ti cards. I don't recommend the GTX 750s anymore since the GTX 750 ti is now the same price as the 750.

Hi there, thanks for the quick reply. So you're saying that the GT 730 is meant for multi-monitor? lol. If so, then which GPU would you recommend? My budget is about $80, or about MYR300 in my country here. I dont mind a max of MYR 400 or $100. As long as CSGO and COD4 is at 250fps, im fine. Or slightly better is good too.

Thanks!

I'm not sure how realistic of a goal that is, depending on resolution/settings. If you can find one, a 650 (older card) or a 750 will get you there at 720p fairly well, or a 250x if you can find one at a good price.

I researched IdealTech in Mal., and they have a 250x for MYR 369, this would likely be where you are aiming. Also, there is a 640 for 319, this would be better than a 730, but not by much.

oh? I cant find the 250x you were referring to. Hm. Is getting a 750ti worth it? As TechyInAZ stated. I dont see much of 750 anymore, only the Tis mostly. So I may conside that too.

In his Country the 750 is still cheaper. Unfortunately you have to search through the individual manufacturers on their site, I believe the 750 was a Palit, but I could be wrong. Either way, the 750ti is a fantastic card, but it is nearly double your original budget.

Oh. Hm. Other than that, any other cards? What about the Radeon options? XD

I agree, I looked for a 360 but the cheapest they have it is 500MYR. I think the 250x is going to be the best bang for your buck, and the ASUS 250x is 389 on IdealTech's website. Good luck on the build!

Hmm. Okay. I will go for the R7 250x then. Atm getting 150max fps with COD4 on that gt 730 card. what a downgrade from the previous hd5750 lol!! The 5750 gave 250max fps to COD4 on all low settings. lol the gt 730 is worse. lol

Yep, you don't want to go from a 5750 to a GT 730, at least not the DDR3 version if that is what you got.

The 250X is the same thing as the 7770 which is quite a bit better than the 5750.

Hi guys. This will be the last post. I have upgraded that PC(my sister's) to Asus NVIDIA GTX 750Ti. lol. Superb. Problem solved. Exchanged the gt730. A $80 or MYR300 budget is too low even for a pretty old game(CSGO). lol. Tsk tsk. Thanks guys for the information.
