Question GTA 4 grainy shadows fix

My pc specs are nvidia gt 710 2gb gddr3, 4gb ddr2 ram, intel core 2 duo e7500 2.93 ghz, 500gb hdd, windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I bought gta 4 from offline store and then installed it on my pc, it had patch 1.0.7.0 and my fps was not good with medium shadows so i downgraded to patch 1.0.4.0 and now my fps was great even on high shadows but the shadows are too grainy due to which i cannot enjoy the game, please help me to fix this., below is the link for screenshot for my problem.

Please help me i really want to fix it.

EDIT:- shadows were fine in patch 1.0.7.0 but it was Laggy, please dont ask me to go to patch 1.0.7.0 again.

well, since you have a low end system. either look good with lag or look bad with good fps

until now, i have asked more than 10 questions on this forum but i never got proper help or reply to that, rather than telling me my system is low, can you help me to fix the grainy shadows as this is a bug not graphical issue, my friend has core 2 duo e6500, 4gb ram gt 710 which is lower than mine but he didnt got those grainy shadows, he is also using same patch as mine but this issue is only with me.

the mediafire link of the fix is not working for me but the issue of the guy in this forum is same as mine, but he is patch 1.0.3.0 and i am 1.0.4.0

also, you can check youtube and search gta 4 1.0.4.0 medium shadows gameplay, the shadows will not look grainy there too.

if you think it is a bug. try all different version of gpu driver.

upto now i tried - reinstalling gpu drivers, different drivers, reinstalling game then patching to 1.0.4.0 again, please help me ( I think there is a way, do you or any of your friends have gta 4 downgraded to 1.0.4.0? if yes then give me its shader folder, maybe it would fix that as shaders file have shadow related files.

You said your friend have it and it running fine. why don't you ask your friend?

i asked my friend but he said that he lives in hostel and his pc is in house, his house and is hostel are 120 km far from each other. Please help me. He is my discord friend not real life friend.

well, this issue dont happens when installing the game, as game is patch 1.0.7.0 after installing but i got grainy shadows after downgrading to 1.0.4.0 but i fixed my problem as i downgraded to 1.0.4.0 due to low fps but i installed this game on my brother's pc which has 16gb ddr4 ram i5 9400f and gtx 1650 super, actually there are 3 PCs in my house but my own pc is low end, I updated gta 4 to 1.0.8.0 then played then there are no shadow issue but now there are fps issues that sometimes my fps is 80 plus but sometimes its 49, there is huge fps variation i dont know why, this is the only game on this pc whose fps goes below 60, also when there are heavy police chase then its 39, even watch dogs 2, mafia de, gta 5 gives better fps. Also i dont get to play on my brother's pc for long so i use my own pc but for gta 4 only, my brother allowed to play on his pc. How to fix fps issue.

malware scan the system? what the cpu/gpu temp? how much ram? ssd or hdd?

no malware, gpu temp max is 69 degree celcius, cpu is 78, 16 gb ddr4 ram, 256 gb ssd, 1 tb hdd but gta 4 is on hdd

unless it is really full put the game on ssd.

tried it but still gta 4 has frame drops ( first of all ssd only improve read write speed, it will shorten loading time not game fps, also gta 4 is not that much demanding that i need rtx 3080 for 60 plus fps. After all its a 2008 game.

frame drop might be loading texture. which is the ssd improve read speed
