gta 4 lagging on core i7

hi guys.
i have hp laptop with intel core i7 with (prosser i7-5500U Cpu 2.40ghz
ram- 6gb
system-64 bit
with windows 10
still lagging. But while pressing brightness bottom it runs smooth for couple of sec aagain freez game.

if any one can help me plz suggest me help me.

What GPU are you using in that laptop?
That aside, GTA IV is a pretty terrible port, a laptop i7 could very well struggle with it depending on the setting and your GPU.
