gta 4 texture flicker questions

my textures flicker in places in gta 4, i tryed updating drivers, is this a normal problem with the game? i also uninstalled and reinstalled.

Have you tried VSync? That usually clears up any tearing I have had.

its not tearing vsync is on, its the textures they flicker in certain places, in the game. this the only game that does it.

Oh, okay. To be straight, I have that game too and its very poorly coded as even its dated graphics cause issues on powerful rigs. Make sure you have the latest driver for your video card. Also, what are the specs of your system and what are you using for settings in the game?

my specs
intel i5 processor
gtx 660 nvidia card 1.5gb
8gb of ram

i tryed all settings and it does the same flickering textures in certain places. i play everything high with trilinear.

Have you checked for any updates regarding the game? Silly question maybe, but I gotta ask it. I have a similar set up, although I am running SLI. Like I said, I have the game and would be willing to test it out for you if you like. Let me know specifically where you are seeing the graphic anomalies and I will download the game after I post.

okay, i have gta sa as well and vice city but never get the same problems as gta 4.
