Hi guys. I really love gta 5 and i play it from the day it was launched. The game was looking fantastic and i cuold even play on very high 30fps. Then i changed operating system from windows 7 to 10.And it was much better experience 5-10 more fps sometimes. I was having no problem until a month ago game started lagging like crazy. I tried every method i could find but nothing significantly helped. Now im hopeless. I had no idea what to do and then i remembered this forum. Pls help. These are my specs:
Intel core i7 4790k
Amd radeon r9 280
8gb ram
500gb hdd

I've also started having problems with it, I'm running a GTX 780 and i7 4820k, both overclocked.
I don't know what's causing the problem, do you also have freeze lag? like it will run good for 1 second then freeze for 2 seonds, it's not constant FPS drop for me. It's just really weird.

Yep same boat here. Freeze lag, varies but ultimately unplayable. Tried old and new drivers, ddu clean install, 3d game settings, cpu performance adjusting, in game settings, uninstalling windows update that coincided... Can't figure it out and it's really disappointing

What I've been able to figure out after hours of googling:
Rockstar support have told people it's windows 10's fault.
Some people can fix it by removing their Social Club folder.
It started with the last update, quite a few people have it.
There currently doesn't seem to be a fix that works for ME.

I have tried:
Removing my Social Club folder.
Compatability mode for windows 7/8
Different drivers new/old.
Various NVIDIA Control panel settings.
Monitoring CPU/GPU usage (It drops significantly during the freezing)
Taking back my GPU/CPU overclock (Ik it's stable, I was just desperate 😛)

I think we just gotta wait for a new patch :/
