GTA V Crashes on Startup

So, I installed GTA V today and I boot it up. It launches fine until i click anywhere on the tab in which it crashes. They'll be sometimes where it will launch but it is stuck in the resolution 800x600 and is using DirectX 10 (I don't know if that's normal anyway). So, I change the resolution to my monitor resolution and try to apply the changes and it says I need to restart so I let it, it reboots and is back on the same settings as before (resolution 800x600). Any suggestions? EDIT : I've fixed it...I think, I went into story and then changed the setting to maxed out and it stays that way but I'm getting 130fps? Isn't that a bit too high for the settings I have it on for a GTX 1080 STRIX?

Make sure your video drivers are up to date. The game will provide the best user experience when played at the native resolution of your display. Given you have a very capable system, 130fps is certainly not too much.
