I have the i7-5820K, two GTX 980s, 32gb of DDR4 RAM, etc. so my machine is a beast, but I can only run it in 2K 60fps MAX and I am reading that I should be able to in 4K 60fps MAX which tells me I have something messed up in the settings because the game runs around 20-30 fps for me in 4K. Can you guys please let me know the specs of your machine and the exact settings? Thanks!

Im having no issue with GTA V on the specs in my sig.

Are you using any AA in the settings? Do you have the 350.12 Drivers installed http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/83819/en-us ?

60 FPS @ 2k isn't bad... Did you enable MSAA?

I have similar spec to your machine except from I have 4790k processor and 16GB ram, the ram wont make a difference and your processor is only slightly better than mine in the gaming world.

I can run at a minimum of 60fps at 2k I usually get above 100 though, so something obviously seems to be wrong!

Use the Nvidia Gerforce Experience settings as someone else has also suggested

Did you build the PC yourself? SLI has to be manually enabled through Nvidia control panel, it may be that you are only running one 980

switch off high resolution shadows, put grass quality to very high( not ultra) also switch off distance shadows. it should improve the framerates a lot. I play 1080p and with switching off high res shadows/grass/msaa i reached a stable 60 fps any place in the game. the grass quality " ultra " and high res shadows is somewhat bugged, if i switch both on my fps is halved ~ 25-30

Im running everything on Ultra, FXAA (there is still aliasing at 4K), advanced settings (i.e., shadow length) halved...MSAA Water OFF...getting 55-65fps consistently with my SLI 980s.
