If its the regular 1GB and not the SE version then yes, the 1GB model is better. The 768MB version has more stuff turned off. It has 8 less ROPs, a narrower memory bus at 192bits wide instead of 256bits, and the L2 cache on the chip is smaller as well. Even though the companies might not be as known as Asus, the 768MB card is a more cut down card, so the scores will be lower.

Yea i know the specs. but in real life to a budget build which is better. For a same price, I dont care bout benchs but for playin popular games mafia2,just cause2 all nfs series, gta, fifa and so on.

There are asus gtx460 768mb and sparkle,club3d. In games is it really worth buying cheap 1gb? It wont burn if I'll play games at high for a 4-6hrs?

What about new games, like shift2. Is there any possibility that it may req 1gb video ram?

I'm asking bout everyday gaming performance, not bout specs and benches :) because gtx465 performs better than gtx460 768mb,but in cost of heat and power. So what about those asus768mb or club3d/sparkle 1gb?

It will depend on the resolution. 768MB isn't a horrible number, but some games at 1680x1050 will have issues. If your gaming on your 720P LCD however you'd be fine with it. If you can afford the 1GB non SE edition I'd get it. If however you'll have to sacrifice other things to get it, don't. The 768MB version isn't that bad, and still quite powerful.

Right. Which means the bundle will be light and the warranty next to nothing. 1-2Yrs at best. Nothing to worry about. If you had a 5yr warranty and it died 4.5yrs from now, would you want a 4.5yo card? I wouldn't.

I didn't get what u mean? U say that sparkle will die after 1-2years? But if I'll get 4-5 year warranty then I should buy it?

Or u said that even if it will die after 4 years it wont be a big loss because in that time that vga will become useless in gaming?

http://www.sparkle.com.tw/product_detail.asp?id=111&sub_id=396# looks nice to me

I know, it says that it's a 3yr warranty there where I'm buyin it,but it's a non-reference version. What's about that? Performance is the same? How does it look?

u see, gtx460 was reference, and then became non-reference and code hasn't changed. As sparkle gtx460 1gb costs 15-20$ less than palit or other manufacturer it's strange for me. Sparklegtx460 1gb even costs the same as asus or msi 768mb.

Why is it strange? 768MB chips cost less then the 1GB chips. But if you're going to include a nice package and a long warranty, the cost to the consumer for a 768MB chip will now be higher. I thought I mentioned this last post, whats hard to understand.
