I'm about to upgrade my GPU and PSU, and I'm most likely going to go for a GTX 1050, and as for the PSU, I was going to get an XFX Pro Series 450W Bronze unit.
Will these work? I'm using an AMD FX 4300 CPU and yes, I'm aware that it's gonna be a slight bottleneck, but I'm not planning on upgrading my CPU until next year. I'm from Croatia and I'm not planning on ordering any components internationally so the market I have at my disposal for this is rather limited.

Yes that is a perfect upgrade match and a high quality power supply made by SEASONIC , great choices.

Oh so the GTX 1050 doesn't need the 6pin PCIE connector from the PSU?

No it does not need a connected, since it draws power. If it was the 1050 Ti, then yes a connector is needed.

tthe 1050 and 1050 ti doesn't need more than 75watts from the pci express socket in the small models, that is the beauty of those cards

unless you buy a model doing heavy overcloking, it will not come with a 6 or 8 pin power connector

for example, from this list of 5 cards

http://www.evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=0&family=GeForce+10+Series+Family&chipset=GTX+1050+Ti

the first 3 won't need the 6 or 8 pin power connector, the others come overclocked and will require that 6 pin power connector

Yeah, I never considered not buying one, since the one I'm using is long overdue an upgrade, it's one of those crappy unbranded ones.

while it is a old mainboard, still with two pci slots, i don't see a reason why it wouldn't work, unless you find a report that says that a bios update is mandatory for that gpu, it will just work, open case, put card, and enjoy

if the psu is bad, cosider doing at the same time or as soon as possible the psu upgrade

if you start to hear the psu fan alot or see it heats the wall or the entire house, then yes, you need to change it

a 500 or 600watts psu should be more than perfect, corsair, evga, rosewill or your preferred brand will be ok

a general recomendation that is very wise, don't use chep psus, sometimes they last for years but sometimes will die soon and will kill mainboard, cpu and more
