gtx 1050 fps issue

Hello everyone, I would really like to know why my gtx 1050 is giving me from 200 fps to 700 in a game called halo custom edition it is like limited for me, but my friends who has the same video cards gets from 700 to 1500 please help

Your friend is playing at a lower resolution or has a better cpu would be my guess.
